About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Executive to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in purchasing and vendor management, preferably within the agricultural or poultry industry. The Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely procurement of quality materials.
Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement of raw materials, feed ingredients, equipment, and other essential supplies.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to forecast material needs.
Review and evaluate supplier performance, maintaining accurate records and updating vendor lists as required.
Conduct market research to stay informed about pricing trends and product availability.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all purchasing activities.
Work with finance to manage purchase budgets, process invoices, and track payments.
Requirements
Experience:Â 3-5 years in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in agriculture, food production, or poultry farming.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and familiarity with ERP or procurement software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market trends.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Familiarity with industry standards and quality control practices.
